Bookmarklet for logging into Beats Music

Feature image

I really enjoy Beats Music but since they have a 3 device limit, I am logged out of the app on my computer regularly.

I also have Beats set up in a Fluid stand-alone app on my machine. The reason I did this is because it keeps my music playing even if I happen to restart my web browser. I can also put the Beats app I created in my doc for easy access. Unfortunately this means the app doesn’t integrate into my password storage app. This means I would have to log into it in a separate window, copy my password and paste it into the Fluid Beats app to start music.

To make this process easier, I made a short bookmarklet to make logging in much easier.

javascript: { document.getElementsByClassName('login-field')[0].value = ''; document.getElementsByClassName('password-field')[0].value = 'yourpasswordhere'; void(0) }

How do you use this code?

First customize it with your info by replacing the fake email address and password with your email address and Beats password.

Then make a bookmark in Beats for any web address. You’ll then edit that bookmark’s URL by replacing whatever was in there, say “” with the javascript string above.

Now, whenever you’re on the Beats login page, you click the bookmarklet and your email address and password will be filled in. Enjoy your music.

Please be aware that is NOT secure. You’ll be storing your password in plain text, but if that works with your situation, then it’s not a problem.
